Tri-Colour Classic Scholarship Program
Tri-Colour Classic Scholarship Program
Tri-Colour Classic (TCC) is a student-run, not-for-profit organization at Queen's University dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.
Through community events like the annual Commerce vs. Engineering basketball game and March Madness tournament, TCC has successfully raised over $244,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Tri-Colour Classic Resilience Scholarship is designed to support and empower students who have demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of cancer, whether personally or alongside a family member.
Overview
Tri-Colour Classic Resilience Scholarship is crafted to support and empower students who have shown extraordinary resilience when confronted with cancer, either personally or through supporting a family member. Recognizing the unique challenges and emotional toll that cancer imposes, this program aims to alleviate the financial burden on students who have been significantly impacted by the disease. By providing crucial financial assistance, the scholarship enables these resilient individuals to continue their academic pursuits, ensuring they have the opportunity to fulfill their educational goals. Furthermore, the scholarship encourages these students to contribute positively to society, using their experiences to inspire and support others facing similar hardships. Through this initiative, Tri-Colour Classic not only aids in their educational journey but also fosters a community of hope, strength, and perseverance.
Each year, Tri-Colour Classic awards five scholarships of $1,000 each. These scholarships are intended to help cover educational expenses for students who are currently enrolled or accepted into an undergraduate program at a Canadian university.
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship you must meet all of the following criteria:
You have been personally diagnosed with cancer or have/had a family member diagnosed with cancer
You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program or accepted to start in the upcoming academic year at a Canadian university institution as a full-time student
